Title: Integrated Assistant Media Planner

Department: Media Planning & Strategy

FLSA: Non-exempt

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Reports: Media Planner & Associate Media Director      




USIM is a full-service, integrated, media planning and buying agency. We are media agnostic – aligning the most successful and efficient media strategies with the goals of our clients, regardless of channel.  The Assistant Media Planner will assist in the day-to-day management of the media negotiates and purchased for various clients within our media firm.  This position also helps with the ancillary needs to develop a media plan/strategy.


  • Help manage client’s media expenditures by maintaining budget summaries, flowcharts and sales data
  • Assist in media activation by generating orders into the appropriate buying departments of the agency, such as job orders and insertion orders
  • Check the final buys for accuracy and summarize purchased media for clients
  • Pull research and analyze data to help determine effective media strategies
  • Maintain regular contact with related internal departments: Buying, Acct Services, and Billing
  • Write points-of-view on new media opportunities
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to sustain a highly organized account team
  • Gain a superior knowledge of the research services and systems


  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Proficient in math
  • Analytics skills a plus
  • Organized
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Perform well within a team structure
  • Respect confidentiality both corporately and with client information
  • Efficient work ethic both in time and resources
  • Able to multitask and prioritize
  • Punctual


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration and/or communications
